At ermn., we believe in a web where you aren't the product. We don't sell your data, we don't use creepy trackers, and we don't share your information with advertisers.

Information We Collect

We only collect what is absolutely necessary to make the site work:

• Account Information: Your username, email, and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) status (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Profile Content: Your bio and profile picture (to show others who you are).
• User Content: The posts, likes, and comments you share on the platform.
• Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage to keep you logged in and save your theme, layout (e.g., Lite Mode), and developer tool preferences.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

When you enable 2FA, we store a secure, encrypted "secret" used to verify your identity. This data is used solely to generate your login challenges and is never shared or used for tracking. Enabling 2FA is the best way to ensure that only you can access your account, even if your password is compromised.

Visibility

Please remember that ermn. is a public social network. Unless your account is set to private, your posts, bio, and profile picture can be seen by anyone visiting the site. If you set your account to private, only your approved followers can see your content.

Cookies & Tracking

We don't use cookies for tracking. We only use essential browser storage to maintain your session. There are no third-party tracking scripts or "like" buttons that follow you across the web.
